Claire's Coin the Cure

Twelve-year-old Claire Armstrong from Woodcroft is a remarkable young lady and a passionate supporter of breast cancer research at Flinders.

In 2009 Claire approached us to do a guess the lollies in the jar competition at her school and raised $140, and in 2010 she raised the bar even higher!

Claire organised the printing of a large pink ribbon and booked a table at Westfield Marion on Sunday 31st October to hold an event she named "Coin the Cure".

By asking passers by to help cover the ribbon in gold coins, Claire raised a fantastic $501 for breast cancer research at Flinders.

Claire's passion for fundraising came after her mum Jo participated in a breast cancer fundraiser walk four years earlier.

We look forward to Claire one day being old enough so we can offer her a job here at the Foundation!
